8:00 a.m. Update: Severe Weather Risk Area Continues to Increase as All Modes of Storms Possible


The 8:00 a.m. Convective Outlook has been released, and the severe area risk areas have been upgraded once again for much of the region. All modes of severe weather are possible Sunday night into early Monday morning, including damaging winds, large hail and maybe even a tornado or two.


A slight risk is now in place for much of

Southwest Missouri (including the cities of Branson, Springfield and Joplin), Northeast Oklahoma (including Miami and

Tulsa) portions of Southeast Kansas and Much of Arkansas.


The highest risk for wind, hail and tornadoes is over portions of Northwest

and Western Arkansas, Eastern and Southeast Oklahoma, and into Texas, where an enhanced severe risk has been placed.
