The Stormdar Weather team is comprised of two avid weather enthusiasts:  Randy Luna and Corey Taylor.  Their passion for meteorology has led them into many aspects of weather, and they have combined forces to study and educate the public about weather and how it works. Their focus is primarily on the Branson, MO area but have now reached out in an over 500 mile radius from Branson.

Randy (“Rando”) hails from Springfield, MO and has been working in Branson as a professional musician/arranger for the past 20 years.  He has played for the Showboat Branson Belle, The Shoji Tabuchi Show, Country Tonite, and currently with the Hughes Brothers.

His passion for weather started as a teenager with a complete fascination of the wonders of Mother Nature.  He developed “Stormdar Weather” in the year 2000 as an outlet to give his spin on all types of storm systems.  He was drawn to cover weather specifically for the Branson area which has millions of visitors annually.

Corey has been a fan of weather from a very young age. Growing up in Miami, Oklahoma, he was glued to the TV when storms came through, watching Tulsa's severe weather coverage. In 1995, he began his career as a newscast director at KSNF-TV in Joplin, MO. While at KSNF, he directed countless severe weather cut-ins, and even chased storms live on the air. In 2004, Corey became newscast director for KTUL-TV in Tulsa, OK. He finally got to be a part of what he loved, severe weather coverage in Oklahoma. While working with meteorologists Gary Bandy and Travis Meyer, he gained valuable weather knowledge, such as how to locate severe weather with pinpoint accuracy using Baron Doppler Radar. He directed over 15,000 newscasts in his television career.

Corey currently resides in Branson with his wife and five children. He works as a digital marketing strategist, specializing in video, social media and web design.

Randy and Corey joined forces in 2010 to make Stormdar Weather what it is today!

FUN FACT: All music, graphics and video on Stormdar Weather is original and created by Rando or Corey.
